Music career

In 1972, his ensemble evolved into The František Ringo Čech Band, where Čech gradually transitioned from drummer to front-stage personality, taking on roles as a vocalist, percussionist, and witty master of ceremonies. Notable singers such as Viktor Sodoma and, most famously, Jiří Schelinger contributed to the band’s success. Together, Čech and Schelinger created hard-rock and pop-rock hits, including the album Nám se líbí and the concert program Zemětřesení.

After Schelinger’s tragic death in 1981, the band slowly dissolved, but Čech continued to produce music through solo projects, including recordings with his band Projektil. Throughout his musical career, he was known for his energetic stage presence, humor, and ability to connect with audiences, making him more than just a musician but a complete entertainer.
